Murray Downs Golf and Country Club has a proud history of supporting local community groups including sporting organisations and charities.  For many years the Club was the major sponsor of the June Racing Carnival (Swan Hill Jockey Club).  It has also been the major sponsor of the local tennis club and major supporter of the country week tennis tournament for many years and continues in this role.  The Club is the major sponsor of the Swan Hill Cricket association and supports many other local sporting organisations.

Proudly, the Club is the major sponsor of the Swan Hill Neighbourhood House Community Transport Car that is used to help transport local community members, who do not have access to transport, to medical appointments both locally and as far away as Bendigo and Melbourne.  There are many more examples of the clubs support of the local community and below is a list of the grants recipients in the past 12 months.
